Update (May 20, 2015) – The Backyard Chicken survey is now closed. Thank you to all respondents for providing feedback! Once a final determination is made regarding backyard chickens we will post it here.

Known as backyard chickens or urban chickens, allowing residents to keep chickens is a debate that has been ongoing for years across many municipalities and counties. The current Animal Ordinance does not prohibit chickens, but requires further review and the Town Council is seeking public input on the issue.

Please take a brief survey and tell us your thoughts!

The purpose of this survey is to gather resident input on the issue of allowing chickens in Trophy Club. The Town Council tasked the Animal Shelter Board and Staff to examine the terms, ordinances, standards and policies regarding keeping or prohibiting chickens in Trophy Club. NOTE: Ordinances put in place for the Town of Trophy Club would not impact current guidelines or restrictions within HOAs (homeowner associations) that exist today.

To assist the Town in measuring public opinion regarding keeping chickens in residential areas, please provide responses in a brief survey that should only take a couple minutes to complete. All personal information, if provided, will be kept secure and not used for any other purpose other than what is stated.

Thank you for providing feedback!
