The Town of Trophy Club is participating in the 2015 State of Texas Warrant Round Up and has appointed a Warrant Task Force to implement warrant service duties. The annual Warrant Round Up begins Monday, March 9 and ends Saturday, March 14th. The roundup is designed to target thousands of defendants with traffic, parking, city ordinance, penal code and higher charge warrants. Affected persons are urged to contact the appropriate jurisdiction or jurisdictions to dispose of their cases voluntarily to avoid the inconvenience and embarrassment of arrest at home or work in front of family, friends or co-workers.
The Trophy Club Municipal Court is offering an amnesty program from February 21, 2015 through March 7, 2015. During the amnesty period, Defendants will not be arrested when appearing at the Court for the purpose of resolving their cases. Persons who resolve outstanding warrants within the amnesty period will be offered two options:
- The person may enter a plea of guilty or no contest and pay outstanding fines in full. This option will result in the violation being reported to the State as a conviction on his or her driving record.
- The person may enter a plea of guilty or no contest and request deferred disposition to prevent the violation from being reported as a conviction on his or her driving record. For this option, the person must pay all deferral fees in full, must enter a plea of guilty or no contest for all outstanding Failure to Appear charges, and must pay all associated fines.
