A new local youth sports association, Trophy Club-Roanoke Track and Field Association (TCRTFA), has been created to provide children with an encouraging and successful track and field experience. Participants will learn correct form, teamwork, and how to maintain healthy habits. TCRTFA is a non-profit organization for children grades K-6, of all abilities, who attend school in the Northwest Independent School District (NISD). The program is under the direction of the NISD high school track coaches who know that providing children with early, successful experiences will help carry over strong track and field athletes to their programs in the future.

Registration Open for 2014 Spring Season

The registration cost is $30/child until February 27, then $45/child until registration closes on March 13. Cost includes a t-shirt and all fees.

The season runs from late March to early May. Practices are on Mondays, meets are on Fridays. The first practice will be March 30 and coaches will select exact times. All practices and track meets will be held at Byron Nelson High School. In case of inclement weather, we will try to reschedule. However, due to scheduling with the high school, it is not guaranteed.

The entire program is operated by volunteers; from parents and neighbors to middle school and high school students. No previous experience is necessary. Sign up to coach or volunteer when you register your child, and a coach training session will be provided prior to the first practice.
