Update (May 2, 2014): The Water Conservation Plan and Drought Contingency & Emergency Water Plan for PID residents were both unanimously approved at the April 21, 2014 Town Council Meeting. For citizens of Trophy Club residing outside of the PID, a similar set of plans was approved by the TC MUD No. 1 on April 22, 2014 and can be viewed online here.
Please be aware that with the adoption of these plans, all residents within Trophy Club will be held to a similar requirement as the City of Fort Worth, with outdoor watering limited to twice-per-week, year round. To determine the watering days available for your home address, please visit the Water Conservation & Restriction webpage.
At the Town Council Regular Meeting scheduled for Monday, April 21, 2014, members of the Council will welcome public comment regarding a proposed Water Conservation Plan and a Drought Contingency & Emergency Water Plan for the PID. The District is required by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) to adopt these plans and to make necessary amendments every five years. Because the Town purchases water from the TC MUD No. 1 District who, in turn purchases water from the City of Fort Worth, the Town’s plans must incorporate the same, or more stringent, requirements as those which are listed in Fort Worth’s plans.
The new Drought Contingency & Emergency Water Plan incorporates the City of Fort Worth’s new requirement to limit outdoor watering to a twice-per-week schedule, year round.
Citizens are invited to send comments regarding the Plans under consideration to firstname.lastname@example.org and/or to attend the Town Council meeting on Monday, April 21, 2014, beginning at 5:00 p.m. in the Svore Municipal Building Boardroom located at 100 Municipal Drive, Trophy Club, TX 76262.
For individuals residing outside of the PID, the TC MUD No. 1 Board will also be receiving public comment on similarly proposed plans at their Tuesday, April 22, 2014 Regular Meeting, beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the Svore Municipal Building Boardroom, located at 100 Municipal Drive, Trophy Club, TX 76262. More information on this meeting and the proposed Plans for residents outside of the PID can be found online at www.tcmud.org.
