Direct Deposit

Offered to all employees.

 

Tuition
Reimbursement

The Town will pay up to 100% of tuition at accredited State institution rates for accredited institutions. (Restrictions apply, see Personnel Policies)

 

Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance

Full-time active employees are eligible for two times their annual salary to a maximum of $100,000. All premiums are paid for by the Town. Supplemental voluntary life and AD & D is also available to employees through Lincoln Financial.

 

Long-Term
Disability

Full-time active employees are eligible for long-term disability paid for by the Town. Long-term disability is provided by Lincoln Financial and pays 60% of an employee's basic monthly income, up to a maximum of $6,000, after the 90 day elimination period has been satisfied.

 

Flexible Benefits
Plan

Full-time employees are eligible to participate in Pre-Tax savings programs. This program allows employees to deduct insurance premiums, medical expenses and day care expenses from their paychecks on a pre-tax basis.

 

Health Insurance

Full-time employees are provided group health insurance coverage through Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS). The employee premium is paid for by the Town. The Town contributes to Dependent coverage. Please click here to view benefits*.

Dental Insurance

Full-time employees are provided group dental insurance coverage through Lincoln Financial. The employee premium is paid for by the Town. The Town contributes to Dependent coverage. The following rates are per pay period. Please click here to view benefits*.

Vision Insurance

Full-time employees are provided group vision insurance coverage through Humana. The employee premium is paid for by the Town. The Town contributes to Dependent coverage. The following rates are per pay period. Please click here to view benefits*.

Worker's
Compensation

The Town has worker's compensation insurance in the event that an employee is injured on the job. Texas state law prescribes the criteria for receipt of workers' compensation payments.

 

Retirement Plan

Full-time employees are required to become members of TMRS. Employee contributions equal 7% of their gross, which is tax deferred, and is matched 2:1 by the Town. After 5 years of participation in TMRS, an employee is vested 100% in the Town's contributions.

 

Sick Leave

Full-time employees earn sick leave at the rate of 10 days per year.

 

Vacation Leave

Full-time employees are eligible for vacation as follows:

1-5 years of service
5-10 years of service
10+ years of service
10 Days
15 Days
20 Days

 

Holidays

The Town recognizes 10 paid holidays per year.

Personal/Martin Luther King Day (To be agreed upon by the supervisor)

 

Certification Compensation

Certification compensation will be offered to regular full-time employees. This benefit is offered for certification beyond the employee's job description requirements.

 

Longevity Pay

Longevity compensation will be offered to full-time employees who have completed 12 months employment with the Town. From months 13 through 60 the amount paid is $5.00 per completed month.
