MAY 10th JOINT GENERAL/ SPECIAL ELECTION FOR TOWN COUNCIL, MUNICIPAL UTILITY DISTRICTS AND NISD

The Town and Municipal Utility Districts will hold an election on May 10th, 2008 for the following:

  • Three Town Council member seats, currently held by Susan Edstrom, Pam Cates and Philip Sterling.
  • Two MUD 1 Director seats, currently held by Jim Hase and Dean Henry.
  • Three MUD 2 Director seats, currently held by James Budarf, Kevin Carr and James Thomas.

NISD will hold an election for purpose of electing school trustees to Places 5, 6, & 7 and authorizing the issuance of bonds of the District, in one or more series, in the aggregate principal amount of $260,000,000 for the purpose of the construction, acquisition and equipment of school buildings in the District and the purchase of the necessary sites for school buildings.

The candidates will appear on the ballot in the following order:

Need to Register to Vote or Change Your Address?
If you want to register to vote in the May 10th Town Election, registration cards are available in the kiosk (located in the front foyer) of the Municipal Utility Building located at 100 Municipal Drive or:

Residents visit: www.elections.dentoncounty.com to print an application or request that an application to be mailed to you. The registration card is then mailed to the Denton County Elections Office and must be in their office no later than April 10th (30 days prior to the Election date).

If you need to: Change address, verify voter registration or if you have misplaced or lost your card call: Denton County Elections Administration 940-349-3200

Tarrant County
Residents visit: www.tarrantcounty.com/eVote/site/default.asp to print an application or request that an application to be mailed to you. The registration card is then mailed to the Tarrant County Elections Office and must be in their office no later than April 10th (30 days prior to the Election date).

If you need to: Change address, verify voter registration or if you have misplaced or lost your card call: Tarrant County Elections Office at 817-831-VOTE (8683).
