CITIZENS
POLICE ACADEMY
Continuing
our philosophy of Community Policing, Trophy Club Police Department
will host another Citizens Police Academy. If you have found
yourself wondering what does Law Enforcement in your community
do, this class is for YOU!
Classes
will be Thursday evenings beginning at 7:00 p.m. and last
until 9:00 or 10:00 p.m., depending on the course for the
evening. The first class will be on Thursday, March 18,
2010.
We
will introduce you to the goings on at the Police Department,
and show you what our style of Community Policing entails.
As well as how it all pertains to you, and how we help make
this a community a “Great Place to Call Home.”
The
classes will cover the difference between the reality of policing
and what you see on television. It will also help you learn
how to help protect YOUR community and show others how they
too can help.
Trophy
Club has always been a Town of people working together for
the common good. If you find that you would like to become
a more informed citizen and possibly get involved as a Citizens
Police Academy Alumni, please give Officer Scott Voigt a call
to sign up for the class.
You
can reach Officer Scott Voigt at 682-831-4651 or e-mail at
svoigt@ci.trophyclub.tx.us.
This
will be an interesting class that will answer many of your
questions about policing in this wonderful community. Oh yes,
space is limited to the first 15 people. You will be required
to fill out a request form that will allow us to do a criminal
background check. To be eligible to attend the Citizen’s Police
Academy, you may not have been convicted on a class B misdemeanor
or greater.
