Trophy Club Parks and Recreation offers a seasonal swim team for ages six and older to have the opportunity to experience swimming at the competition level. As part of the Texas Amateur Athletic Federation (TAAF) Summer League Swim Team, the Tritons Swim Team competes at four local events, as well as regional and state competitions. The program is coached by Steve Melbourn, TAAF Hall of Fame inductee and current swim coach at Byron Nelson High School.

The swim team now has its own webpage! Visit for schedules and important dates

Regular season practice begins in early June at the Trophy Club Community Pool and practice times vary by age group. The fee is $150 (State Meet Registration incurs additional costs), which includes all TAAF registration dues, a team shirt and professional coaching.  Click here for the Triton’s Summer League Swim Team 2018 flyer.

Swim Team Inclement Weather Policy

Inclement Weather
All swim team practices will occur rain or shine. Practice will continue when it is raining unless we have thunder and lightning present or the bottom of the pool is not visible. Weather cancellations are often made at the last minute due to fluctuations and quickly changing weather patterns. Every time lightning is seen or thunder heard the pool is closed for 30 minutes after the last lightning or thunder. Coaches will make every attempt to hold practice even if it’s for a short period of time. Coaches will post to the Triton’s Facebook page when practice is cancelled. Please do not call the pool phone as no one is available until normal pool hours. Coaches are not able to call or email cancellations notices. Practice is normally cancelled 10-20 minutes into the normal practice time. We recommend following the page for the most current updates:
