6/22/2018 — 6:30 PM
The construction crews are currently setting the sub-surface drains on the east side and will continue through tomorrow, June 23, 2018. They have stated that they are scheduled to turn soil on Monday, June 25 or Tuesday, June 26. They are not able to mobilize manpower at this time. They have been told to contact the homeowners involved so preparation for parking can be done.
Form setting for the new concrete placement will begin at the end of next week.
6/19/2018 — 4:00 PM
The contractor should be finishing up with the liming process this afternoon, June 19, 2018 and temporary drive access re-installed. The lime is required to set for 72 hours at which time the road will again be mixed again beginning on Friday, June 22, 2018 in the morning around 11:00 am.
Again, the approaches will be removed during the process and re-set in the afternoon. No additional work is scheduled until Monday, June 25, 2018 and those details will be provided to you as recieved.
Always, thank you for your patience.
On Saturday morning, June 16, 2018, crews will begin setting water meter boxes on the west side in preparation for the arrival of the irrigation and landscape contractors. Grading and dirt work will continue through Monday, June 18, 2018, so that lime treatment can commence on Tuesday, June 19, 2018. At this time, all irrigation systems have been shut off, and the removal of private drive approaches will begin on Monday, June 18, 2018.
6/12/2018 — 8:00 AM
Over the next couple of days, traffic will be moved over to the new concrete portion of the street. Please note, the traffic direction will remain the same. The process of cutting the old section up has begun and will continue until complete at which time the removal of sections will take place. In addition, mailboxes are being packaged up and relocated further back on to the sites. There should be no disruption of mail service. Packages that fit in the provided boxes will be delivered. If there is any conflict with delivery, feel free to contact this office, and staff will reach out to the appropriate parties.
As always, thank you for your patience in this matter. If you have any questions in the immediate, Tommy Uzee, Director of Community Development at 682.237.2915 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
6/8/2018 — 4:19 PM
The storm drain construction is now complete. The contractor will be completing final cleanup and yards will be prepped for irrigation system checks as well as topsoil placement. Next week, relocation of mailboxes on the east side will continue. Also, the contractor will have representatives going door to door to revisit irrigation issues and assist the landscape company responsible for repairs. Residents should be receiving mail in the temporary boxes located on Shields Drive.
6/6/2018 — 7:34 PM
As of Wednesday afternoon, the contractor is finishing up with details on the drive approaches. One storm drain was poured, two remain and should be completed soon. The next concrete pour is scheduled for Thursday afternoon. Mailboxes for the east side are in process and will be available soon. Staff discussed with the contractor and the post office, that no delivery should be delayed, missed, or require residents to pick up mail at the post office.
6/4/2018 — 12:54 PM
This week, the working being done on Phoenix Drive will have the contractor completing all necessary drive approach work, backfilling behind the curb, and finishing the storm drain lids. The landscapers are scheduled to be there on Wednesday, June 6, 2018, to begin their assessment and repair of previously landscaped and irrigated areas.
6/1/2018 — 11:30 AM
The remaining drive approaches are scheduled for forming set up and concrete is scheduled for around noon. All drive approaches are scheduled to be complete by the end of the workday. The crews will continue backfilling behind the curbs, until complete, and begin cutting the lids for the storm drains. Remember, it will take 48 hours for cure time before the approaches are ready to drive on, meaning they will be ready on Tuesday, June 5th, 2018.
If you have any questions in the immediate, Tommy Uzee, Director of Community Development at 682.237.2915 or email@example.com.
5/29/2018 — 4:00 PM
Today began the process of forming up drive approaches between the street and private properties. The Town contractor is scheduled to begin placing concrete, as early as tomorrow, Wednesday, May 30, 2018, at those locations that have been completed.
Please remain off of the new concrete at least 48 hours from pour to allow the curing process. Thank you for your continued patience.
5/26/2018 — 4:30 PM
The final pour of the West side of Phoenix Drive is complete. It will take approximately three days for the concrete to cure adequately in order for residents to park on it. All other surfaces should be available to drive on at this time. Beginning Tuesday, May 29, 2018 preparations will begin to pour the approaches on the west side, which will complete the concrete activity on that side. Shortly after that completion, work will shift to the East side of Phoenix Drive.
If the access to your home is open, but insufficient, feel free to contact Tommy Uzee at 817.807.8736
5/21/2018 — 11:30 AM
Beginning Tuesday, May 22, 2018, at approximately 8:30 AM, the Contractors will be scheduled to complete the pour to the end at Shields Court.
In addition, once staff receives the results of the test breaks of the current pour residents will be notified that it is ok to park on that pour.
5/18/2018 — 10:51 AM
Based on the current events of weather and construction activities, it will be necessary to remain off of the newly poured concrete until Tuesday, May 22, 2018. This is due to the contractor needing to test the concrete strengths on Monday, May 21, 2018.
5/18/2018 — 8:30 AM
The scheduled 8:30 AM concrete pour is on as scheduled. 200-yard mix is coming in.
5/17/2018 — 7:00 PM
If residents of Phoenix Drive haven’t already done so, please relocate your cars for the evening to accommodate for the estimated 8:30 AM concrete pour in the morning (this time is subject to change).
Additionally, be aware that the rebar that has been laid has been laid flat without support so residents can drive over it to get in and out of their homes.
5/17/2018 — 1:00 PM
Republic Services has responded to the staff inquiry regarding trash pick up tomorrow. Republic Services has assured the Town that they will be monitoring the street moving forward to ensure service is completed. At this time we encourage residents in and around Phoenix Drive to set trash/recycling as normal tomorrow, Friday, May 18, 2018.
5/17/2018 — 7:30 AM
Trophy Club staff will be placing electronic reader boards in the Phoenix Drive area. Keep alert and check them as they will be pushing additional messaging on them.
Staff will also be contacting Republic Services this morning to get details on trash pick up for tomorrow, Friday, May 18, 2018. Stay tuned for an update.
5/16/2018 — 4:30 PM
Trophy Club staff has received the approval of the density reports from the lab technicians on the density testing accomplished earlier today. The current schedule of work will have forms being set early Thursday, May 17, 2018, as well as the steel placement. Staff is aware materials are being moved around the site, and some forming may take place this afternoon, Wednesday, May 16, 2018. In addition, staff will begin inspecting the steel placement mid-morning, Thursday, May 17, 2018, and will continue to do so as sections are completed. Driveways will remain open as they have been, throughout the morning and afternoon activity.
NOTE: All vehicles that are to be used on Friday, May 18 and Saturday, May 19, 2018, will need to be relocated out of the construction area from Thursday night until Saturday afternoon.
The contractor is scheduled to begin the pour on Friday morning, May 18, 2018. It has not been determined by the concrete company how much material shall be delivered and that will determine how far they can go with the pour. Those homeowners that have no forms or fresh concrete at their location may return home on Friday at the completion of the workday. Staff will continue to monitor the situation and appreciate your patience during this time.
