WARRANTS
The
Trophy Club Municipal Court records indicate that the following
people have either failed to make an appearance or comply
with an order of the Court and are subject to arrest. If a
Defendant has reason to believe that this information is incorrect,
please contact the Court.

THE
WARRANT OFFICE WILL CLOSE AT NOON ON THE THIRD (3RD) WEDNESDAY
OF EVERY MONTH TO PREPARE FOR THOSE SCHEDULED TO SEE THE JUDGE.
- Types
of Warrants

An alias or arrest warrant is issued for Defendants
who receive a citation but fail to make an INITIAL appearance
as scheduled or make arrangements to clear the violation.
- A
capias warrant is issued for Defendants who post a surety
bond (non-cash) but fail to make an appearance as scheduled
or make arrangements to clear the violation.
- A
capias pro fine warrant is issued for Defendants who
receive a citation but fail to comply with an Order
of the Court (i.e., community service) or satisfy a
payment plan as promised.

- Additional
Fees Per Warrant

$50 Warrant Fee: For executing or processing an issued
warrant.
- $30
Omnibus Fee: For failure to appear or failure to pay
or satisfy a judgment for violation of any fine-only
offense. Enables the Department of Public Safety (DPS)
to deny renewal of driver's license. Applies only to
Defendant's with a Texas driver's license or permit.

Types
of Bonds

Cash Bond: A cash bond can only be applied to an arrest
or alias warrant. It is equal to the amount of the total
fine and is usually paid by the Defendant.
- Surety
Bond: A surety bond can only be applied to an arrest
or alias warrant. A local bondsman or attorney usually
provides this bond.

- Resolving
an Alias Warrant

The Defendant may cancel his warrant by pleading NO
CONTEST or GUILTY to the violation and then make full
payment resulting in a GUILTY judgment; OR
-
The Defendant may post a cash bond to obtain a new court
date and speak with the Judge concerning his case; OR
- The
Defendant may post a surety bond to obtain a new court
date and speak with the Judge concerning his case; OR
- Should
the Defendant want to plea NOT GUILTY to a violation
after a warrant has been issued, he must post either
a cash or surety bond to obtain a new court date.

- Resolving
a Capias/Capias Pro Fine Warrant

The Defendant may cancel his warrant by pleading NO
CONTEST or GUILTY to the violation and then make full
payment resulting in a GUILTY judgment; OR
- The
Defendant must turn himself into the Warrant Officer
for arrest and he will be placed in jail in order to
satisfy the total fine due.

- Warrant
Payment Plans

Should the Defendant be unable to make payment in full,
he may enter into a payment plan with the Court. A warrant
payment plan applies only to alias or arrest warrants
and must be approved first.

Outstanding
Warrants
Should a Defendant fail to dispose of a warrant, the Warrant
Office will ACTIVELY pursue an arrest at HOME
OR PLACE OF EMPLOYMENT. Additionally, the warrant
may be entered into the regional computer database, which
will make the Defendant subject to arrest by any peace
officer in the State of Texas.
