TROPHY CLUB MUNICIPAL COURT is committed to providing
those we serve with high quality customer service that is
effective, efficient, and delivered in a professional environment,
while accomplishing the duties incumbent upon it by the Town
of Trophy Club Charter and the laws of the State of Texas,
thereby earning and maintaining the public's respect, confidence
and satisfaction. Furthermore, the Municipal Court is committed
to ensuring ALL defendants receive fair and impartial
treatment and are aware of ALL options available under
state law.
This
Municipal Court occupies a unique position with the Texas
judicial system. Because it is the judicial branch of municipal
government, it has the power to hear Class 'C' Misdemeanor
cases and impose fines. No jail time may be directly imposed,
except as punishment for contempt of court. However, when
there is willful refusal or neglect to pay assessed fines,
the Judge has the power to place an individual in confinement
until the fine is either paid in full or served in jail.
