PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION

It is the mission of the Planning and Zoning Commission to "submit reports, plans and recommendations for the orderly growth, development and welfare of the Town," in accordance with the provisions of Texas Local Government Code.

The Planning and Zoning Commission reviews all applications for development within the Town for compliance with zoning ordinances and the Comprehensive Land Use Plan. Town ordinances relevant to Planning and Zoning actions are regularly reviewed and/or revised as appropriate.

The Planning and Zoning Commission meets at 7:00 p.m. on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of each month, in the Municipal Utility District (Svore) Building.

All meetings are open to the public. Agendas are posted at the MUD Building at least 72 hours in advance.

All Boards, Commissions and Advisory Groups are composed of several residents and a Staff Administrator from the town staff. Residents who are interested in serving may obtain an application form at the town office in the Svore Municipal building or click here to download the Board, Commission and Advisory Group application*. The Information Technology Advisory Group*, Utility Franchise Advisory Group* and the Planning and Zoning Commission* require a supplemental application.
